Arizona 2016 Mini Album

In March I took my mom and we went on a week long whirlwind trip to Arizona! We visited my bestie, Karen, who lives in Scottsdale. While there, we spent a weekend in Tuscon and went to the Tuscon Book Festival (so fun!), as well as some other sights. We also drove up to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. It was a wonderful trip!

This is my mini album I made to showcase my pics and some postcards! It turned out really cute. I mainly used Graphic 45 Botanicabella, but I also used an Arizona scrapbook set I found on Amazon, a few cute stickers from Hobby Lobby, as well as other odds and ends!

I had so many photos and postcards, they didn't all fit in this book! So I'll be making a "Part 2" album as well! I had so much fun making this! Travel albums are the best!

Summertime Mini Album

One day while cruising around YouTube, I happened to see a video tutorial on how to make a mini album out of manila file folders. The video wasn't the best quality, but I was able to figure it out, and spent the next 3 hours making this cute little album!

It measure 4 x 6 inches, has 6 double spreads, 6 pockets, and a bunch of tags and flaps. It turned out really cute! I'm going to be putting pics of my kids from last summer in it, although I haven't gotten to it yet! Here's all the pages:

This wasn't bad for my first attempt at this project, and I learned a lot doing it the first time. Since then, I've made 3 more of these albums, and they just get cuter each time! To learn how to do this (its really easy!) I've made a tutorial on Pinterest that you can check out HERE

I hope you have fun with it! I'll be showing off all my other minis soon!

Embellishment Sets--Graphic 45 Come Away With Me and Prima Bedtime Story

The last few days, with the help of Pinterest, I've been having fun making embellishments! They really turned out cute. They are posted for sale on my store page, the link is to your left!

I used 2 paper collections to make these.  The first one I used was Graphic 45's Come Away With Me (one of my favorite collections!)

Each of these sets has 9 handmade embellishments, 2 chipboard pieces, 2 cut aparts, and 3 punched shapes.

Here are some details of a few handmade pieces:

The other sets I made using Prima's Bedtime Story Set!

Each of these sets has 6 handmade embellishments, 4 cut aparts, and 8 punched shapes.

Some details:

Each set sells for $9, and that includes first class shipping anywhere in the US.

I absolutely love how these came out! I'll definitely be making more of these!

Altered Items

Altering things. One of my absolute FAVORITE things to do! I love taking something that no longer has a purpose and give it new life. Altering items really makes you think outside the box! Today I'm going to show a few of my favorite altered projects!

The dictionary defines ALTER as:

change or cause to change in character or composition, typically in a comparatively small but significant way.

One of my first altering projects was altering plain lunch paper bags. This one I used Graphic 45's Typography line to make this a fun bag to put stuff in!

For this altered bag, I used G45's Botanical Tea collection! Plus a few odds and ends.

For this project, I did a large chipboard letter "V" for my friend Vicki's name. This was lots of layering and collaging of different items and elements.

These were a couple of cute chipboard tea pots I altered for a tea swap I participated in. These were incredibly fun!

And lastly, these are fun hanging decorations I made. The hearts were for a Valentine's swap. Again, so fun to make!

Altering items is SO FUN, and really stretches your creativity! What are some different items you've altered?
